Well, I fuxored my emu today
:vash::vash:
Yeah, so I'm really happy right now!! I was setting the jumpers on my emu and a couple of beers later, I decided to fucking break a chip off of the board while sliding it back into the case. For some reason I remember there might have been a thread about this. FUCK:vash::vash: This problem has totally fucked my plan for this build. I do not have the money right now for a new ems, and by the time I do have the money, i will be working like 70 hours a week, and will have no interest in fucking around with my car. Oh well:bang: I was not planning on spending any more money after I figured out my exhaust and clutch, so I think I'm going to use the vortech fmu I have from a previous setup, make a reverse wg spring to keep the boost at 6psi, and use an emb that my buddy is going to loan me indefinitely to control timing for now. I know this setup sounds lame, but i really dont want to spend anymore cash right now, and its there, and I am really sick of this ridiculously slow fucking car. I have had it boosted before, and because of that, I want to cry every time i drive it. I am sick of these fucking minivans fucking blocking me whenever I change lanes Of course, if I do go this route, I'm sure I wont be able to resist finding some bigger injectors, changing out my disk, or ditching the fmu altogether, but i probably wont waste too much money before the end of summer comes and I finally have time to buy some kind of ems and tune my car. |
what did you break off it? maybe it can be soldered back?
|
Take a picture of what you broke off. If it can be fixed and you cant do it, send it to me and ill do it. If I cant do it, I have a professional that will tell me if he can do it and do it for free.
Its not the end of the world yet. |
i bet its that IC chip on the end where you slide it back, it has a chance to hit the housing. those have been known to break off if you hit it hard enough. They moved the chip in the different revision of the board.
