"They" is just one dude who made an OBD2 reader.

if so, then it's almost worthless. you have to unplug it to test the car... and it wont have an input anymore. |
If you unplug it then your ECU will default to assuming the long term trim is zero. It will take longer than a smog test to make long term trim drift into the throw-a-CEL range.
