Autotuning fuel sequential vs batch injection
While troubleshooting my random rich spike condition someone posted that they read it was not a good idea to autotune using sequential mode. You should autotune in batch mode, then switch to sequential. The logic doesn't really make sense to me since it seems like it would screw up your adhere and sucked from wall values if tuning with one, then using the other.
Any info that validates this tuning practice? |
BS. It works just fine in sequential.

+1 I have experienced no problems autotuning with sequential fuel. I'm not running EAE at the moment (need to revisit it sometime) but in theory EAE should work better/more accurately with sequential.

(Posting from my phone.)
That doesn't even make sense. Seq. Fueling changes your fueling needs. If you tune on batch the switch the seq you'll have shitty tune. |
Don't believe the hype. It works just fine.

I autotune with sequential. Glad to see it doesn't make sense to everyone else to tune in batch and switch to seq. I have to tune my eae, but I really need a passenger to help. I think someoen had posted some step by step instructions. I'll have to do a search. It was either here or on msextra.
EDIT: EAE thread https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...&highlight=eae |
I saw no reference on that thread to tune in batch?
|
EAE tuning works best on the hwy in 5th gear.

My thread in ms3 general support, second post from bottom, first page. |
I'm not calling you out, I actually miss-read your previous post and thought you'd linked to the erroneous advice.
Chill! :) |
