Base map timing - Link ECU - 0deg?
Hi Guys
After doing my 949 coolant reroute I need to reset the CAS timing. Most instructions I have seen suggest setting base map timing to 10 deg. My g3 Link ECU has a base map field, do I just change this to 10 deg in the ECU, physically set the timing to 10 deg with the timing light via CAS adjustment and then reset the ECU field back to 0 deg? That sound about right? Also, from what I gather for the N/Aspirated I "believe" they advance the ignition (4 deg?) for performance gains, I presume this isn't advisable with a turbo....? Yep, :noob: but I am getting there slowly. (theres a lot of info to pour through here...) Mark. |

with turbo, you need to retard to 10 deg

That sound about right? What you should have done is simply marked the CAS before removing it, and then put it back in the exact same position.
