That would be the 72 pin ecu connector for $7.74 each in stock.

Minimum buy is $35 so I got 5. I plan to keep two.

If anyone wants one, I'll mail one to you for $15.

First three to PM me for my email and then paypal that amount to me get them.

(of course I have to receive them first...)

I'm looking for some 1318612 and can't seem to find any in stock anywhere!

Connectors received. One guy sent me a message for one... anyone else?

I just typed this up for another user:

First, the connectors on the car-side harness that plug into the ecu:

From AMP/Tyco
Connectors:
353027-1 (17 pos)
353029-1 (24 pos)
353031-1 (31 pos)
(you may need 353826-1 instead)

Pins:
316836-1 (72 minimum required)

AMP/Tyco WILL sample these (or have in the past). Sadly only 10 pins though so you might have to buy those from onlinecomponents.com (minimum order is $15 so you have to get 103 pins..)

Next up is the mating connector header that's part of the mazda ECU.
1123038-2 (which is available from onlinecomponents.com for about 8-9 bucks each--OR I have a couple spares I'd be willing to sell for $15 shipped).

Funny you should post this today.
Just posting about the 1123038-2 to Braineack on mt.net today :)

MS3 + MS3X with closed loop vvt would be fun I think.

I have 3 full sets of the above available should anyone need a set. I will pass on the MT.net love and honor y8s prices.

It takes a LONG time to get in stock (months!), so my recommendation is to buy a couple sets online and buy one set from me. Use the set I send for your harness and when your parts arrive keep one set as a spare and pass on the same deal. We can keep our own stock of these parts available in the community if we all do this.

I just wanted to update this thread a bit and ask for help, because I am lazy...

First, if you are looking for single quantities of the above, check Octopart.com.

Second, I am upgrading to the DIYautotune DIYbob with the 122pin nippondenso connector. My plan is to use one or more of the unused plugs on the 122pin side to bring in stuff like O2 sensor, extra grounds, EBC, etc. That way I don't have any odd connectors hanging under my dash. However, I need to figure out the part numbers for the extra positions.

First, we need to find the 122 position plug, and next we need to find the parts that go into it. I will look when I have time, but I'd appreciate the help of anyone watching this for the good of the group.

Update: It looks like the 122 pin connector is this: Tyco p/n 8-353015-1 which is a start on the journey.
The connectors we are looking for are
22 pin 353028-1
and
28 pin...??

Chiburbian 04-17-2015 04:57 PM

I think I found the p/n for the 28 pin... 353030-1

I still can't find any in single digit quantities.

aidandj 04-17-2015 05:48 PM

28 pin? Which one is that for?

But here you go.

TE Connectivity - 353030-1 - Rectangular/PCB Connectors - Connectors - Allied Electronics

Chiburbian 04-17-2015 05:50 PM

Sweet, I don't know why I couldn't find that before.

The 28 pin is for the 122 pin Nippondenso connector that DIYautotune sells as part of their DIYbob for my car. Basically what I am trying to do is bring my extra signals in via the 122pin connector rather than the db25 connector I have now dangling below my dash... This is just to be more clean in the install.
