Default Beer Money Motorsports ECU?

Hey all, recently came across a relatively new ECU on the market from a small company called beer money motorsports which appears to be a great value and I’ve talked to several people who own it and love it. Uses tuner studio like MS3pro and they appear to have great customer service. Messaged them on instagram and they replied within just a couple hours. My friend who runs it also called about a missing feature and they had it added in within about 24 hours on a firmware update. From what I understand the chipset is also faster and has newer architecture than the other top dogs like MS3Pro. The owner who I spoke to on their instagram runs it on his big turbo built motor 1.6 so that’s impressive, still looking to see what features it is lacking compared to MS3pro but curious if anyone else is running this ecu and knows any of the shortcomings or limitations? Seems like a great value for about $700 out the door with the extra bips and bobs added onto it (brand new).

Been running mine since July on a NA nb1 - prepping for a MP62 kit so dw200 FP, little FF380s and audi COPS would be the only significant mods. I'd be lying if I said it was a smooth start but Jesse has been great to work with and we got our issues sorted out. As long as it's not going on a daily and you have time and patience to work through some kinks it's a good option. PM if you have any specific questions.

@mrejda you are planning to run ff380s with an mp62? Is this a non intercooler, low boost setup? I would think the 380s may be a bit undersized for getting the most out of a mp62. I would suggest 640s if you ever want to increase boost on that mp62 or run e85.

I've heard nothing but good things about BMM. I was going to run that ecu but a local practically gave me his old ms2.

Jessie's support is great and is very active in the community. My friend has one on his 95m vvt.

If you know how to tune a car it will be simple to get adjusted. What features are you looking for in an ecu?

My experience was somewhat similar to mrejda. It took me several months to get it running, with the help of a skilled tuner and input from Jesse, but now it makes good power for my setup. I made an install thread here. https://www.miataturbo.net/ecus-tuni...review-107069/

I still have an idling issue in that it bounces between 600 and 1200 rpm and will occasionally stall. I hope to get it sorted out come the new year. I wouldn't want to sell the car in its current state.

@mrejda. I have RX-7 460s on my mp62, for what its worth.

@ridewhencan did you see the injector update they pushed on FB a month or so back (injection phase setting)? Supposedly helps with off idle issues, which I had. Car is down for now so I'll see if it helps when I bring it back up.
And yes running the 380s to tune mildly for for stock 4-5 psi non intercooled setup. When I mess with pullies and add an IC I'll bump them up.
