Help fuel pump doesn't run unless hotwired
Hello, fyi this is my first post here but I need help. I acquired a 1990 na miata from my uncle that had been previously turbo'd by one of his buddies back in 05-06. However he was a kid with a dream of going fast and wired it very poorly. I was going through the harness to try to recover my gauge cluster because it had gone out on me after changing the timing belt. Assessory belt, cam sensor and valve cover. The gauge cluster was previously working but stopped. But in the process my fuel pump will not turn on with the key anymore. But if I hotwire it, the pump with fire right up and the car will run great. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks
btw the car has a og megasquirt pnp if that says anything |
Are you “hot wiring” with a jumper in FP and GND in the diag box?
this is a white box PNP unit? |

this is a white box PNP unit? And yes is is a white pnp unit. It was installed by the previous owner. However the harness has been hacked up so much that it is hard to chase wires |
