I recently picked up a 2004 MSM with the FM big enchilada kit. Due to the the inspection requirements both from the state the car came from as well as my state, the car is swapped back from the hydra prior to inspection.

Currently the car is running on the stock ECU, injectors and o2 sensor. I recently had the car inspected and am looking to switch it back to the Hydra.

I know I need to change the injectors and remove the AFM. I am confused as to which O2 sensor I have swap for the wide band. I am assuming the top sensor, below the turbo. Also i understand another O2 sensor will be removed and the bung covered with the bung cap.

Also I have had issues downloading the 2.6 software on my Win7 laptop,doesn't seem to install and run.

So in summary
Which O2 sensor gets replaced with the wideband.
Which one gets capped
Am I correct in removing the AFM with a strait replacement tube.
Is there another source for the 2.6 software or will it just not run on Win7
Am I missing anything else?

Will most likely upgrade to the 2.7 but want to get running on the 2.6 prior to adding another variable.

If you do a search in the hydra section the is a post with solution. If I recall correctly , there is an issue with the install . Something to do with certain files ending up in the wrong folder. The fix is as simple as finding the correct files and just moving them.
As a hydra 2.7 owner think very carefully before spending $$ upgrading to 2.7 . Yes it works better than everything previous but it's still a Hydra. If I was starting over I'd probably go AEM or talk to Reverant about an MS something enhanced

Here a quote I pulled from the thread :
So I figured everything out for anyone that wants to know if you plan on running Hydra on Vista and you have an older version than the latest 2.6 then do the following.
Download the newest version of hydra 2.6 into the Program Files Folder if it wants to default to program filesx86 this means you are running a 64 bit OS of Windows Vista Find the regular Program Files Folder and Install there then find the version of Hydra that matches your ECU mine happened to be 2.5 v12 after you install the 2.6 this installs some basic drivers and files that work with vista this will allow you to run your version correctly. If anyone has any questions on doing this please PM me and I will walk you threw it. Also can be done with Mac for bootcamp featers with windows vista or windows 7. Netbooks with new windows 7 would be ideal for dedicated in car tuning.
