LC-1 Intermitent? Please Help
OK so I installed my MSPNP and my LC-1 last week. Car runs better than I thought it would but the problem is my LC-1 has not been working right. I did the calibration a couple times and got it to work and display in Megatune. I took it for a short ride and everthing looked to be reading right. Now when I start the car it wont read more than 7:1 and the led for the LC-1 blinks 4 times. I did notice that if I turn the ignition on and let the led blink until it stay solid, then start the car everything seems good. This only works sometimes though.
Any thoughts would be a big help. I wish there was someone in the area that could help, but I dont think anyone is around here. |
You're getting error code 4, pump cell circuit open. This could be one of the following:
1. A bad sensor 2. A damaged sensor cable 3. The connector not completely seated at the LC-1 4. Bad sensor heater calibration #4 is the easiest to check - try recalibrating the heater circuit, not just doing a free air calibration. |
I have done this. It will work for a bit. If i turn the key to on and wait for the led to go solid then start the car its fine. If i just start the car without the led going solid it show error code 4. Then i have to redo all the calibration to get it to work properly.

I'm new at this and just want this thing working right before I try to auto tune the car.

How are the LC-1's power and ground circuits connected?
|
All grounds are grounded into one lug on the back of the block. Power is tapped off of the radio circuit.
|
That may be your problem - it's losing power while cranking.
|
Point me in the right direction.
|
you need to power it from a source that is hot whenever the key is on. the radio power cuts out while cranking.
|
Where can I get that. I read somewhere to take it off the ECU harness. Which pin and how? With a wire tap or cut and splice?
