Link tuner in the pacific NW?

Any good, link tuners fluent in FM's software int he Pacific NW? I am in Vancouver, BC but am willing to travel a bit for a proper tune.

No, I don't want to tune it myself. It's a track/hillclimb car and I would rather someone else do it. Don't tell me how easy it is, I don't really care... ;)

It uses the same tuning principles as most other ecus, so any credible tuner would be able to tune it. I recommend DatalogLab for tuning the LINK since using the keypad is virtually impossible. I think DLL has a 30 day trial, so you could pick it up for the tuner.

The problem here, is none of the tuners locally want to do it.

Have you talked to Andre at Pina Motorsports?

falcon 02-12-2010 02:18 PM

Where is that? And does he have experience?

The one problem I see, is that I don't want to buy the software. I want to drive my car to someone, have them tune it and then leave it alone.

Just called him. Had a nice conversation about my build and goals and what he thought. Very informative sounds like he knows his stuff for sure. I think I will be going ahead and getting him to tune it up for me.

Thanks!

I'm impressed that you found someone to tune it, as that ecu is outdated. I would like to mention there's a MS builder and ametuer tuner in bellingham, which is what, 1.5 hrs south? Refering to Wayne Curr btw.

Andre will take care of you. He is seriously the most knowledgeable person I can think of when it comes to tuning cars.

I have a MS tuner local to me, but the deal I've found on the LINK is hard to pass.

From talking with him, I feel totally confident that he knows what he is doing. He basically told me don't bring it unless everything is done properly.. :bowrofl: fuel system (pump, filter etc), wastegate porting, t-bolt IC piping etc. which I can understand. he said a lot of the time people come for tuning and he ends up having to diagnose a shit load of problems. straight and to the point, which I like. I told him my whole setup and he said with the LINK it will be no problem to hit my goals.

Bellingham is 30mins away. Pina is 1.5hrs.
