Mega Setup

I know I'm setting myself up for a shit storm of people telling me I'm dumb, but here it goes. I've been reading threads for months now trying to figure out how to program megasquirt, but I haven't been able to figure it out!! My car has been sitting waiting to be started, but if I don't know what I'm doing I don't want to fuck it up!!! I'm plugged into MS DIY that I got from a user here, 460 195500-5740 injectors and a Walbro 190 fuel pump. Also AEM wideband O2, but what format or starting data do I need to get this thing going?

On a different note I'm looking to sell my old set up of 305cc supra injectors, Bipes ACU, and Begi FMU. Not sure what I should sell them for?

Please be nice being I am a Turbo guy and that I have read for months through the threads waiting until now to ask!!!

diyautotune has a base map that you can use. You can adjust the rq fuel for your injectors and I think that will get you started.

Then you can search for specific things like "MAT correction" "ignition settings" etc. Do this search in the MS portion of the ECU and tuning threads so that you will get only MS related hits.

Probably something like $50, $100, and $100. Thats about what I got for my bandaid parts.

Do you know if the miata firmware has been downloaded onto the MS yet? Start with that. Use EasyTherm to do that. If you can get it connected to EasyTherm, and download the firmware, you're ahead of half the first time MS users. After that is when you want to download the MSPNP base maps from diyautotune, along with tuner studios and get it connected to download the .msq base map. IF you get all that done, you're ahead of about 75% of first time MS users. Get to this point and get back to us.

Hey Myspeed123, I'm interested in the Bipes. I'm in Clackamas and wouldn't mind picking your brain (or anyone local for that matter) as I'm about to embark on doing my first turbo install. I can't PM yet?

Go with a MS, by the time you buy the bipes (~$100) you're over 1/3rd the price of a MS kit. Save your pennies. Myself and Cueball are local and both MS knowledgeable if you need it. I'll charge you money if you want me to do the complete MS install, although if you do it yourself, my help if free when you get stuck, you learn more anyways.
