HKS PFC F-con on my miata?

This is a band-aid unit. It is only capable of so much compared to something such as a megasquirt or any full standalone. Like stated above you can run some very low boost and not have to worry too much, but it is extremely recommended you go standalone.
From my understanding with a band-aid is they cannot completely change fuel injection and specific mapping. You are stuck with purely adding, which again, for low boost you shouldn't be too worried about, but for the longevity of your engine its recommended to go standalone.

The PFC FCON is a "headunit" only. There is an adjustable selector within for different maps, but if you want to play with *****, you need to add something like a GCC or EGC, both of which have ***** that actually do things. Very rudimentary things, but they do things. (GCC trims/adds fuel -12%/+16% across set RPM points, then blends, EGC does similar things, but timing.)
Honestly, it was very powerful. In 1992.

My bumper was black with soot on stock ECU. As a matter of fact, the car runs LEANER in boost/open loop than it did in stock form. I like hanging around at a solid 12:1 to redline, instead of dipping into the 9s and gradually richening all the way to 10.1:1. Big improvement.
Again, would i use it on a Miata? **** no. Will i continue using it long term on the MX6? Probably not. There's literally nothing it does better than Megasquirt, besides festoon your cabin with lights and *****. I'm simply saying that this was hot **** over 2 decades ago. So hot that Millen used it on a few Pikes Peak cars.
