MTX-L with Bosch LSU 4.9 upgrade
Hi,
I've been using an older MTX-L with the Bosch LSU 4.2 sensor. The sensor has been acting up (gives laggy readings and E8 all the time) which a free air calibration hasn't been able to fix. I just purchased the LSU 4.9 upgrade kit (P/N 3897, Bosch LSU 4.9 with 8ft sensor cable) which will hopefully sort out my issues and be a bit more durable going forward. Does anyone else run this newer sensor? Is a free air calibration still required when using the LSU 4.9 with the MTX-L controller? Cheers |

3.2.4 The MTX-L is multi sensor compatible with the Bosch LSU 4.2 and 4.9 sensors. In order to go from one sensor type to another the MTX-L must be connected to the LM Programmer software and the appropriate sensor type must be selected. The “Sensor Type to use” setting can be found in the ‘Info’ tab when LM Programmer connects to the MTX-L. Once the sensor type is changed a sensor calibration must be performed with the sensor outside of the exhaust (see Sensor Calibration chapter.) Looks like you still need to do a semi regular calibration of the sensor irrespective sensor type used. Also make sure you're on the correct firmware for the MTX-l. |
Ah bummer, I was hoping those days were gone!
Thanks mate |
