New AEM 30-4110 wideband - now with the LSU 4.9 sensor
Not a for sale thread. :)
AEM updated their 30-4100 "UEGO" gauge - they switched from the Bosch LSU 4.2 to the newer LSU 4.9. The new part number is 30-4110. The new sensor is supposed to support lean burn and is more robust. Bosch is now set to increase the price of the LSU 4.2 sensor, now that the 4.9 is more mainstream. Buyers and owners beware. I picked up a couple of the new UEGOs today to make sure they still work great with the Wideband CAN Interface. These have a different connector and AEM clearly states that the old sensor is not compatible with the new one anyway. |
Bosch LSU 4.9 is superior to LSU 4.2 sensors - ECOTRONS
Some comparison on LSU4.2 to LSU4.9. Yay for lean burn! It's still pretty accurate up to 1.7 lambda. |
And it looks like the 2 sensors aren't interchangeable wrt to the controllers...

It does look like that. Crap.

Just picked one up today from Amazon... the MS will be here this weekend.
Totes excited. |
of course they came with a new one a month after i buy the first gen...
and it cheaper wtf?! :vash: |
I accidentally ordered the 4100 last night... E-mailed Lightning Motorsports asking if they can just change my order to the 4110 since it's the same exact price on their website. Fingers crossed I end up getting the new version!
I ordered this to replace my LC-2 ... I think it died... it got stuck in warm-up mode and when I called Innovate a few times, after troubleshooting a few things they made up an RMA for me to send it back to them. My car is ready to tune so I really can't wait all that time to ship the damn thing back and forth across the country, so I decided to order the AEM and sell the LC-2 whenever I get it back |
maybe I should replace my MTX-L
|
Lol no worries I like the aem easy wiring and no need to calibrate the sensor anyway... I called and confirmed that I am getting the new 4110 kit so that's a good thing
