Speeduino PNP 90

Just installed my Speedyefi Speeduino pnp kit. Everything is factory besides the bmw vtps that came in the kit. Runs and idles extremely well on the base tune but i took it for a 5 min drive around my block and if i get above about 45% throttle, the engine goes down to about 500rpms and back up to where it was before i opened the throttle. Both times this happened, i immediately closed the throttle. I let it idle in my driveway until it was up to operating temp
before the drive and all the gauges on tunerstudio looked great. Also, when this happened, my enrichment gauge shot up to about 160% and immediately back down to 100. Has anyone else had this problem with Speedyefi’s base tune and what was the fix?

It's a base file meant only to get the car running. You need to tune your car.

Yeah i’m installing my Aem Uego next weekend and it won’t see any use until then. Just saw a guy on youtube throw one in his stock car without messing with the tune and doing burnouts, which definitely required more than half throttle. I just thought something might be up with the file i got because i haven’t heard of that problem before.

That sounds like an excellent way to blow up the motor. I wouldn't drive run the engine until you have a wideband installed and can control how much fuel is going into the engine. Then and only then should you start tuning the car.

Yeah no burnouts or hard driving for me on the stand-alone yet. I had a passenger keep an eye on the gauges on my laptop and didn’t get above 3k rpms. Not touching it again until i get my wideband installed.
