Default Trying to get modded MSPNP to work

1990 Miata with 1.8 swap

I have a MSPNP that was modded with a MS2 board and VTPS to my understanding. It communicates with my laptop but only powers up if I unplug the stock non variable TPS.

I have a VTPS that came with the 1.8 but I'm using the old 1.6L throttle body so it will need to be swapped. Is there anyway I can get the MSPnP to start my car with the TPS unhooked? I don't want to cut my factory harness and find out the MS doesn't work. I just want to know if it's a coaster before I get too far into it

Just disconnect the stock TPS and start the car.

Thanks Reverent, I have tried getting it to start a couple of times but failed miserably haha. I have to check for fuel and spark now as I bought it from someone not knowing if it worked.
