Default Emissions passed

2013-2015 Oregon emissions passed today with all equipment onboard (Xede, 550's, rotrex + intercooler, etc). I still have the Enthuza muffler on it instead of the stock muffler, so it's not as stealthy as normal.

Emissions guy: You track this car?
Me: yep!
Emissions guy: Sounds good !

CA guys: sorry for your pain. My emissions were easy! I had to do nothing!

But at least your state doesn't allow fuckwads to walk around with AR-15's in public. They put a daycare into lockdown :Warren Drouin and Steven Boyce, two men from Oregon, try to 'educate' Portland by walking around with assault rifles

Edit: I'm fine with people owning AR-15's. I'm fine with people having CCW permits as long as the state in question validates you're not a risk. I'm not fine with fucktards toting them around in public scaring people to "educate" them.

Are you running a cat and did you do anything to prep for the test? I'm kinda worried about passing this personally..

I'm running 3 inch straight thru without a cat. 2 mufflers.

I hate you. Passing OBD2 in CT is a pain. I have to go to stock injectors, ecu, add a maf, unblock egr, add a cat, open up the wastegate, and pray I can pass all the readiness codes.

Good thing I don't have a visual here.

all of my emissions equipment is intact. I haven't done anything to modify any of that. The stock catalytic converter, everything else is still there. Yank, you will definitely need to put a cat on there to pass the test. But since your car is an obd1 car you don't have to pass the computer check, you get to take the sniffer test.

Don't see the problem with carrying an AR on your back. Don't see what that has to do with emissions.

I passed today too! Took my freshly built motor and a crappy tune. Used ve live the way there. Guy pops my hood. Checks out my turbo and stairs at the toyota coil on plugs and says nice. I like your wheels. I'm 90 sniffer test. Passed by a long shot.

Mobius what did your test entail besides OBDII? Was it just a two speed idle test?

I've been sound tested once, max is 93dB. Sounds like you'll be good. My friend went to three testing centers, finally on the 3rd they didn't look for a cat, he past all 3 sniffer tests without a cat. This is with a 2.5l subaru, you should pass fine, but no cat is an automatic failure no matter what. Some check with a mirror, others are lazy.

There is literally no room for a cat until after the rear axle.. I'll have to figure out a work around or something..

Its not loud outside of the car. Just noisy with the top and windows up. Poly engine and trans mounts vibrate everything! I'd like to do a ride along with someone that has solid mounts once so i have something to compare to. My **** could be out of balance even though i asked to have the rotating assembly balanced when the engine was rebuilt.

Sniffer tests i can deal with but I've got no OBD plugs. I wired the car from scratch specifically for the MS3X. everything else was stripped out.

Passed CT emissions today! HACKED together on stock maf, ecu, injectors, wastegate open, EGR vented to atmosphere, etc.... oh and a CAT/stock exhaust hooked to my FM downpipe. Gotta love it.

Biggest issue was I forgot to tell the mechanic that I had a 6 spd and he almost drove off the rollers while trying to reverse down it. Took him like 3 times to find reverse.

I am surprised they weren't wearing body armor, bandoliers of mags and sporting ski masks. "What?!! I can't understand why the people at the bank and the movie theatre got upset with us. Our faces were cold!! maybe if they would have just asked us what we were doing they would have felt better!"
My guess is they were patrolling to be sure there were no advance UN scouts readying for their invasion.
Addition-Can't wait till 20 or 30 citizens(god forbid they're not white) start walking around their neighborhood with their AKs or ARs carried openly or maybe across the street from THEIR kids school. Then they'll need a SAW to feel safe and "educate" the public.

This is what parallel installs were invented for, along with just passing along the required data to the ecu. I also be you could convince that company that re-flashes ecus to just switch all your error codes to, do not report. At least on GM cars this makes it pass all OBDII tests without even needing to do the drive cycle, just instant pass.

I had parallel but got rid of it after I had some grounding issues (turns out I wasn't providing the stock ecu good grounds). I still would have to put the maf back in and do some other stuff so I didn't see the advantage of keeping parallel. I got sick of staring at the CEL too.

That was also before I knew all you need to do on EGR is simply vent to atmosphere and OBD2 can't tell the difference.

Oh and the reflash idea... That is why I LOVE my gf's Subaru. click a few buttons and PASS.
