vTPS with DIYPNP
Ok, I've been looking at doing the vTPS mod for my '92 as seen here:
https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquirt-18/mspnp-faq-12239/ The directions for the MSPNP say: The simple wiring modifications needed on the MS are covered in the MSPNP owner's manual. You will remove 2 stabilizer resistors off the DAUGHTER BOARD (not the main board) and add 2 jumper wires. Please consult the manual and if you are not comfortable have DIY Autotune perform the procedure for you. Their labor rate is extremely reasonable. I have a Wells TPS201 on the way. Thanks Nate |
Damn, looks like this time I didn't RTFM...
The stock TPS sensor is useless to begin with and MS cannot do anything with the signal. Therefore I have prewired your DIYPNP to work in conjunction with the Wells TPS210 mod as outlined on miatatubo.net or an automatic throttle body w/tps. Wiring it this way gives you an easy upgrade opportunity. EDIT: Yes, I literally found that one minute after I posted my original question. |
