Xede users?

Am I right by saying the Xede controls fuel by manipulating the AFM/MAF signal?

If so, do you know how well they work well on a naturally aspirated car (stock ECU) with an aftermarket turbo or supercharger fitted?

I wouldn't know what the ECU would think of 150% load for example if it isn't designed for boost.

Both the Jackson Racing and Flyin' Miata piggybacks manipulate the injectors directly, so this doesn't give me any reassurance.

Any success stories? The car is a 1999 NB.

I'm looking at a Haltech Interceptor but it appears as though the Xede is more popular with the Miata crowd and seems to work in the same was as the Interceptor. So if one works, the other has a good chance.

Cheers

The xede works great with boost. I haven't had one but if Begi says it will work. I would trust it.

They sell it with considerably bigger injectors though, so their fuel adjustments are probably almost always in the negative. The injectors I'm using are only 10% larger than stock.

Correct. It does not directly lengthen the injector pulse.

They will work on an NA car. However, the power gain is minimal.

It will only see up to 100% load value. The ECU cannot see above a 100% load value, if it does, it will cut fuel.

Yep. But for the 10 hp gained on an NA car, it is kind of expensive.
Hope that helps,
Stephanie

The car is supercharged, not N/A. I was just implying that I still had the standard ECU from an N/A car.

I currently have a "black box" that intercepts the fuel injector wires and increases the pulsewidths. I'm just worried that with Interceptor forcing 100% load it still won't be getting enough fuel (I have a set of MSM injectors, so they're only 10% larger than my 1999 ones).

Thanks for your input!

The Xede will work on a supercharged car with no problems. The MSM injectors will work well, or see if you can pick up a set of 330 cc injectors. What boost level will you be running?

Sounds cool. I'm running about 9 PSI on an M45.

Cheers
