All I can say is "I'm going to" but won't buy for another month or so when I take the car off of the road this winter and get this thing done. Looking forward to some feedback as well.

I'd be glad to, but I'm not expecting it any time soon. While it's been "released", I think there might be a snag in production. Certainly there's been a holdup that's kept Zoom3 out of the hands of those who have ordered it; I've been waiting about two months for mine.

Stephanie, would you care to set the record straight and give us the low down on when we'll actually see this system in the flesh?

I've been waiting a long time also.

BEGI has always been very polite about the matter, but recently getting a response regarding the status has been unusually difficult. Last told that they were almost there, had to do some minor programming changes and that once done would take a week to ship. But the status of "programming changes" remains obscure.

Perhaps they have been very busy on other matters? But it really does seem as though they have experienced an unforeseen delay/problem at this point with the Zoom3 else they probably wouldn't have announced it was ready to ship a month ago on their site. But, I'm just guessing about this -- it would be really nice to get an accurate status report from BEGI. I'm sure that I'm not the only one whose project is now in limbo because of this long delay . . .

From BEGi's website:

BEGi - - Front Page News - zoom3

Ditch the PC Pro's and Voodoo Boxes, The Zoom3 is here! It is ready for all 99+ Miatas.

It is a complete fuel and timing controller needed for low boost turbo systems. It will run on stock injectors or MSM injectors (270 cc) up to 8 psi. It will run in line with the stock ECU to maintain drive ability and hot/cold start functions.

Dyno results: 208 whp, 171.8 ft-lbs torque @ 8 psi.

Car specs:

BEGI S3 Turbo system w/ GT2860 RS
IC # 3
ACT HD Clutch
Zoom3
Stock Injectors
Stock Radiator
3" Dual Exhaust
Now every NB Miata can have a reliable, safe, cost effective fuel management and still make 200 whp.

The Zoom3 box will interface with a PC, desktop or laptop. It comes with a USB cable, software, and a base map pre-loaded. The software is simple and very easy to use.

Price is $559.00.

If you would like a pre-wired PNP harness, the additional cost is $229.00. It would come ready to plug in and no wiring needed by the end user. You can purchase the PNP harness and wire it in yourself for $175.00.

Free shipping on the first 10 units! via UPS in continental US, postal mail worldwide.

The unit is working as is. We are trying to put in one last programming change that will affect another application. We are waiting on Tim to check voltages on the board for something.

I am pushing everyone as much as possible, but we want it to be as complete as possible. There is no doubt, though, that it works and works well. I just put another 300 miles on it during the Miata round up. I love twisty and curvy roads. And the Zoom3 box worked like a charm. Not to mention that it has been on my car since April.

I will be taking the unit off of my car and sending it to the person who has been waiting the longest in a few weeks.
