1.8 build list, looking for alk yoy boost gurus

Ok, I know this topic has been brought up before but I already have some parts and I wanna see what you guys think of the route I'm going for my boost levels. This car wont be a dyno queen and I'm looking for low 300's at the wheels. So here goes

Already have...
1.8 longblock
Corksport fwd head (port and polished off a jdm 323 gtx)
Web cams (whatever their Turbo ones are)
Corksport cams gears
Bell street/strip pump
Begi fuel rail system
6 speed trans
Crank scraper
949 rods
Brain built ms2
And some gaskets and stuff

What I'm looking to buy in the next month.
Id 1000s. Will these be enough on e85?
Walboro 255lph high pressure pump
Stard fpr
Acl bearings for the motor
Gates water pump and timing belt
Some sort of cop set up (savs set up a good choice?)
What I'm unsure of...
What pistons should I look at? I've read bad things about the supertechs having potential for hotspots. I'm looking for around 9.5 comp ratio (the head has been is slightly decked)
Most likely absurdflow Mani and dp with a holset hx35.

Anything I'm missing? Anything any of you guys would add yourself? I've done alot of reading and any input is great, bad or good

Also some sort of coolant reroute will be used with a larger Rad.

in for info on the pistons...

84mm supertech pistons seem to be popular....havent seen anything major to scare me away from getting them

That pump is too small, and you'll want a FPR that will support higher fuel pressure.

DW300 or LPH400 pump

pretty sure 255 will be plenty for low 300s...

Dparks7 10-31-2011 08:00 PM

I've seen stard fprs in everything from 800 whp evos to 1000 whp supras? How about a Bosch 044 pump?

EO2K 10-31-2011 08:09 PM

Are you talking about a SARD FPR? http://www.sardracing.com/products/FPR.htm

When I first saw your post, I read that as "standard" ie: stock

Feel free to enlighten us, fuel system is pretty important for the levels you are talking about.

And yes, everyone seems to like the Bosch 044 once you start talking about volumes where the Wally 255 starts to look short. The gear from ID seems to have a good rep as well.

Yes sorry I ment sard, I'm using my phone and for some reason it auto corrects it to stard

Not for E85, it would be pushing it pretty close...not worth it when you can get a drop in pump for a few extra bucks that you won't have to worry about.

aaronc7 10-31-2011 08:28 PM

ah nevermind, i totally forgot about the e85 part. disregard

Bump, lets try to get some of the heavy hitters in here for their opinions attention: sav 18 psi feaflora (so?) To see what everyone thinks. What are your thoughts on savs cops set up? And pistons anyone?
