Default Suitable used injectors

Sorry if its been done to death but I brought some injectors (toyota 3sgte) recommended in faq on this site and they are completely different to the mazda ones (luckily I only wasted £10)

Those of you who have actually fitted injectors from another car can you let me know what it came from and whether is fits straight in or needs diddling with.

Btw I'm after a around 200hp and will be using megasquirt ems so I guess about 400cc/minute and any impedance is ok.

Here you go... read post #3 https://www.miataturbo.net/useful-sa...ig-post-10821/

As for the 200HP it'll take more than injectors and ECU. Assume you're already FI?

Um cheers but that was the faq I was talking about that led me to buy the wrong ones. Yes TD04 turbo off a subbie and small intercooler.

The way it works out is, you say 200 is your goal, but it will always go up. Get a set of rx7 460's. high impedence, full pnp. You'll just need to change your required fuel in tuner studio and call it a day. Off the top of my head, I think the part number is 195500-1350???
I'll check then for ya.

Thanks, Do the rx7's actually have 4 injectors? Being that they have 2 rotors? Can't say I know much about them. And what year RX7's cos they made them for a looong time.

89-91 are the ones you want IIRC.

I'd use Rx8 420s for 200whp. Rotaries have 4 injectors AFAIK (I know the FC/FDs definitely do).

When I bought my MS2E Rev recommended RX8 420cc - Yellow Body #195500-4450 (straight off the #3 post).

The GSL-SEs had 2, the rest of the FBs had zero.

It takes a lot of injector bandwidth to build a car with fuel economy as lousy as an Rx-7. I still want an FD though.

2x on getting rx8 injectors. The last thing you want is using broken torn up and leaking injectors and then chasing the problems they cause for weeks or more.

You mean getting used rx8 injectors because its a relatively new car. Or actually buying new ones? I'm not ruling new out but I am on a budget and have a lot of other bits to buy

If your buying used (out of a junk yard car) I'd definitely pay the money for cleaning ($25 each). Otherwise, you have no idea if they even work properly. Who knows how long the car has sat...

They pop up a lot on this site and online.

another vote on rx8 injectors if you are on a budget. If you have a little bit more money, look for someone selling used ID725 or ID1000. If not used, get new ID's

Used, if you are going to go with new its no point to go with such small injectors if u're going to run a standalone.

Whatever you get, make sure to get them cleaned and flow tested.
Dirty injectors are a quick way to blow your engine up.

Cheers but he's about halfway around the world from me. Will keep my eyes out for some RX8 ones closer to home. No big hurry for me I just needed to know what to look out for.
