2002 NB oem air intake assy in a 91 NA?
 

I have a 2002 1.8L VVT motor with the 2002 throttle body in my 91 NA. Currently using a custom made intake with the GM IAT mounted just behind the cone filter. I would like to go back to the factory OEM intake system and adapt the IAT to it. Does anyone know if the 2002 intake assembly will fit in the NA engine bay? I'm sure it'll require some tweaking, was wondering if anyone has done it.

I did some Googling and couldn't find the exact answer I'm looking for. Lots of info about custom made "cold air" intakes though.

No, the NB airbox doesn't bolt up to the studs in the NA bay. I currently have an intake cobbled together with stock parts on my swap, and used the 1.6 airbox and snorkel with the NB2 crossover tube:

It's ugly and restrictive but that was the combination of 1.6 and NB parts that went together. Still waiting on a 3D printed intake. IAT is right at the opening of the snorkel. For permanent installation you should have it after the filter.
