Default 94 block with 99 head for Turbo build

Hey guys,

I recently purchased 5 engines. Two 99's a 94,95 and 97 all 1.8's. Would the 94 or 95 block be the best one because of the oil galley hole on the side? I've also planned on using the 99 head. Plan on looking for 300 hp around 15psi. All forged internals. I've been reading pretty hard here and it seems that this would be a good combo. Thanks in advance.

I use a 95 block with a 4w head on mine. Oil galley on the driver side is a godsend

I thought the 94 blocks had the oil supply on the driver side, not '95 and later. Check the block, it is nice to have a supply close by. Could be early '95's had it, but not sure. . . .

Late 95's don't have the port. They started to get the "OBD2" engines.
