Default RH fittings?

Anyone ever have any issues with Red Horse Fittings? I have a local speed shop that sells them cheaper than Aeroquip. Curious if the few dollars off is one of those %10 cheaper product makes it a %60 inferior product kind of things?

Their website leaves something to be desired.

I know a while back someone has issues with Earls fittings being crap and the Aeroquip being good. Same car, enviroment, and stuff. One went bad, one didn't. It's easier for me to run up the street and get the Red Horse ones, get only what I need, and come home. Verses ordering online and maybe needing one fitting different, and waiting a week.

Hmm, I dunno, never heard of them. I had some Summit racing fittings, and before they even corroded, which was the original issue with the cheaper fittings, they were leaking at the swivel joint.

If you'd like to try, go for it. How much are you saving after everything?

It's partially the convenience of running up the road to get what I need. I have enough to do the water lines. Not feeling compfy with using them for my oil cooler. Might just get the Aeroquip for oil and these Red Horse ones for turbo water. If they leak a bit it's not blown motor bad. Then change over to better. Anyone have a prefered source for fittings? Looking through racerpartswholesale.com at the moment.

Anyone know if the mounting tabs on the Mocal coolers are the same as Setrab coolers. IE: mounting points 13in apart and what not. Thanks

Best prices I've found on Aeroquip fittings: Order Aeroquip Hose, Aeroquip Fittings & More From Aeroquip.cc - Aeroquip SOCKETLESS Race Fittings for -06 Hose

Any issues with mixing and matching brands. I don't like it, but may happen. BATinc has pretty good prices. Thinking just in case I need to run up the street for something i missed.

The hose and fittings need to be from the same brand (if you are making your own hoses). But fitting to fitting, it theoretically doesnt matter since your are meeting a spec. Technically you can also go AN to JIC since they have the same dimensional specs the tolerances are just different.
