Ill rent the tool and do the tests.
yes pcv valve, new, passed blow test, in stock location with new gasket. dual catch cans, vented exhaust side can. You cant see from the picture, but the hoses are hooked up to the direction of flow required by the oil separators. exhaust side valve cover to vented catch can to intake. intake side vc (off of pcv valve) to catch can to intake manifold. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...adb0ca8821.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...6234c8e362.jpg |
Honestly... your car runs strong, I really wouldn't worry about it. Just my opinion.
Get some more power so you don't need to go wide open as often? haha |
Yup, lol.
He's creating problems/issues for himself to worry about, and ignoring the much more significant problem of his MS not using BARO correction or being able to log for the past......almost year? Or did that all get figured out? |

In related news, if anyone wants to buy me a TDR c30-84 rotrex kit with intercooler, or TSE EFR 6258 complete kit (when its finally available) I will love you forever and ever.

Or did that all get figured out? Not sure, the ecu hasn't died on me anymore, maybe it logs now too. I just key off and key on now for different altitudes, its ok. It was a problem at pikes peak, i had great difficulty starting the car at 15k feet, but that is an extreme case, and I'm almost never over 11k feet. |
Never tried it on a Miata motor, but the old telltale sign of blowby is to pull the oil cap at idle & feel for air pulsing. It's a perfect test if you just want to feed your automotive hypochondria rather than, ya know, actually measure it.

I get at least that much blow by going 10/10 for 30 min. Especially in the mountains. I'm not at all worried about mine. Have you checked your PCV valve? I know those can fail or not seal good.
I'm with 18psi, get some boost in there and run half throttle  |
I haven't replaced the pcv valve in two years, I have two more oem replacements and two aftermarket ones I could put in there. If I can pull it out, I'll replace it. I vaguely remember it being super tight to put in.
The reality is, if I get boost, I'll still go full throttle lol. :) |

it probably doesn't matter. I doubt you're knocking as a result of the blowby in an n/a almost stock nb2 running conservative timing.
