Man, thats ugly! Im very glad Im going forged even though I really didnt need to. B6T rods can handle upwords of 300 horse. Theres a BG 323 GTR clone on Club Protege using these rods in a BP whos making just over 300 HP. If you can find a set, use them. Outside of the BPD rods, these are probably the strongest stock rods Mazda has made.
Dont know if I want to let them go just yet, but I have my set of stock B6T rods that got replaced with Eagle Rods. I may let them go. Let me know if you think you want them.

Ok. Premium chrom moly rings ordered from RockAuto. Ordered last night and this morning I already have shipping confirmation. Pretty happy with the service
I also picked up 9.0:1 pistons for 10 bux

Also might get m-tuned rods

******* sweet. When I get mine for my build the engine builder is going to need to clean them twice to get my DNA off them.

While you are at it you should invest in one of these
KS-3 Knock Detection and Engine Tuning Systems

That is unnecessary considering the Adaptronic can listen to the factory knock sensor and retard the timing.

I'm going to stick with the Adaptronic reading stock knock sensor as well as build some det cans.

Have you ever heard of this?
J&S Electronics SafeGuard Indivdual Cylinder Knock Control

It does by cylinder spark retard and advance. It's gotten good reviews on the Z forums, but I don't know if it'll work with Adaptronic.

If the adaptronic already has knock feedback, why would you need det cans at all?
Did all this damage happen while you were running the Adaptronic with knock feedback?

Yes. It was logging knock the whole time and didn't detect any knock at all. The stock knock sensor only picks up so much. Therefore you need to use det cans and your own ears for full knock detection when tuning.

becouse machines are stupid and cant distinguish noise from knock like a tuned in individual. Just hooking **** up and going with it is about as smart as running 87 octane on a turbo car. Do the **** right or dont do it at all. And FYI he melted a piston he didnt statter one apart egt and to high of a clt due to the marginal cooling of the stock miata on the back cylinder. He is fixing this with the reroute.

I use their pro setup with the headphones while I'm on the dyno, works great.

I have KS-3 and plug in the Pro setup while tuning. If you want to listen to the knock, I think the pro setup is a million times better than det cans

This looks like a fantastic product. The KS-4 has 0-5v output. If I could feed that to my Hydra I would feel a lot more comfortable trusting the closed-loop knock dependent retard usefulness vs. relying on the stock sensor.
