Default DW 800cc or 1000cc Injectors

I am about to order some new injectors tomorrow from DW. I am shooting for 300-350hp on 93 octane gas. Probably will not be going e85 any time soon, but is a possibility next year once the MS3 flex fuel support gets better. I will be running both sequential fuel and spark. I know I should get the 800cc injectors because they will have enough headroom, but for an extra $20 I can get 200 extra CC. So can anyone talk me into saving the $20? Or do I make sure I never buy injectors again in my life.

id say get the most for your money! if you think you will actually get the 1000cc one eventually, then go ahead and get them now. spend the extra 20 bucks now or wait and sell yours for a loss and pay more later!

My biggest concern I guess is really what will my idle quality be like with the 1000cc injectors.

food for thought!

I believe Sav has also said had the DW 1000cc injectors been out when he bought his he would have gone with them, but I could be wrong about that. I will be talking to Chris from DW in the morning and see what he says about it. I just figured I would say what some other people running large injectors say to go with.

It's one of those things that you'd have to take your ECU into consideration, too. I'm not a tuner, but I do know that some systems have limits on how much fuel they can adjust.

That being said, if you have everything in place and think there is a possibility of needing the larger set I'd say go with the bigger injector. There really shouldn't be a difference in idle quality between our 800cc and 1000cc.

Give me a call in the morning. I usually get in around 8:00a Central time.

don't know about DW's, but my ID1000's idle quite well on gas and e85 since I got em tuned properly.

13.5-14.5 afr's depending on a bunch of variables. Not a WHOLE bunch of idle tuning either, so it can only get better from.

I'm fairly confident I can get em to idle pretty consistently in the 14-14.7 range if I tried.

I don't see why the DW's can't do the same unless they are inferior (which I don't know)

And you are running MS2 correct? If MS2 can do it on a 1.6, MS3 should be able to do it fine on a 1.8.

I ordered the DW 1000cc injectors today. So I should hopefully have them up and running sometime next week.

I've tuned an MS2 on 1000cc HKS injectors, it's fine unless you are very picky.

I have always idled in the mid 13.x range. As long as these can do that I will be happy.

hey you guys with the dws. Hows your idle when voltage drops to let say 12-13 volts under bad electric load?
