Ben 01-14-2009 06:24 PM

I looked and looked and was unable to find a "deal" on ARP anywhere. Pretty much the same $$ everywhere i looked. Must not have much margin.

TURNS101 01-14-2009 06:58 PM

Cool, thanks for the info ben.

Now to find someone selling it because they gave up on the project ;)

patsmx5 01-14-2009 07:05 PM

Just don't leave them laying around the house. Your dog could come up and eat the studs.

TURNS101 01-14-2009 07:26 PM

Ya know what bro, I have 2 boxers and those fuckers eat anything that fits in their mouth..

nester 01-14-2009 07:42 PM

What part numbers are you looking for?

Pat said that because I actually had some ARP studs eaten by my dad's Rottweiler puppy. :giggle:

i have arp studs. got them from Maperformance.com

modernbeat 01-14-2009 11:50 PM

Best prices I've gotten are from CV Products.

I know that FM is the highest price I found, but they happen to be the ones I bought from, just because I knew they would have some in stock. I dont know for sure, but dont FM claim to have different studs made just for them? Better fitment or something. Mine were like $200 after 3 day shipping. Found them for as low as $130 plus shipping, some sites with free shipping over $100.

Are they are straight drop in? Does it take machining? I can never decide if it's worth doing, seems like a waste of money. Then again, with built rods/pistons/pump, maybe I might as well....

Just got my weiscos from raceeng, they are cool

ard 01-19-2009 06:29 AM

in more complicated cases just get one bolt to take its measurements. arp will make custom if they don't have it in stock.

Hey nester; if you have these, I'd much rather buy them from you than anyone else. Let me know.

BTW Abe; I was thinking about not using these in my rebuild and my local mechanic told me to buy them. I'm saying it because I just read you got your forged pistons so I presume you're going to build your engine too. ;)
