Some of our vendors ship unopened goods in original packaging instead of previously returned items with occasional damage, missing parts, and missing instructions without disclosure of that fact, for the same price. I'm not saying it happens, but I'm not not saying it either.

ARP Washer dimensions: Thickness .120", OD .875", ID .445" (punched, not machined)

Stock Washer Dimensions (VVT Head): Thickness .092", OD .837", ID .450" (punched)

So the ARP washers have 13% more load bearing surface.

I did not mean to start a **** storm. I did not previously know of any past problems with that vendor. My first time ordering from them was for pistons and studs.
