Stupid COP question
Quick question:
One of my COP coils died.
I have a couple coils (different part number) laying around.
I installed one of those good coils, and the car idles well. Did a short test drive, all is good.
Would it be OK to drive the car with mismatched coils till a new set arrives in about a week or so?

My non-technical opinion (which doesn't mean ****) would be it's fine. It looks like multiple coil #s were used on the same model/year. Some where replaced by new part numbers at some point too. Maybe a few small design changes, or different source of intermediate parts. Is the replacement coil one of the part #s listed in the COP FAQ? http://miataturbo.wikidot.com/cop
