Default Houston Machine Shop

I am doing a full build up of a 1.8l. I am not comfortable assembling my bottom-end and head. Does anybody in houston have any recommendations for a good machine shop. Thanks

Search for threads by ZX-Tex and hustler. Both of them are having engines built by someone in texas (Houston I think) that's a badass engine builder.

I used John Day in Dallas because he has a phenomenal reputation with anyone and everyone I've spoken to about it. I'm very happy with the motor so far, I'll rest easy after a few sessions. He's built tons of FI motors for supercharged miatas and I've never heard anyone complain. Many shops use John Day for a reason.

ZXTex is using the same guy that BEGi uses I believe, but I can't vouch for his work.

check gas head motorworks... they specialize in miatas. I think they outsource that machine work, but they can definitely handle the full kit for you.

I am using Duffin Engine in San Antonio. That is the same shop BEGI uses according to Steph. They have been around a long time and have a good reputation.

I am not sure who is good in Houston, sorry. Try calling Gas Head.

Steph, Mikef85 is doing his engine. He doesn't have a shop or anything, just does it at home from what i understand.
