Bearings: ACL vs. The world.
The time has come for me to buy bearings. I have yet to find anything negative about the ACL race bearings. I was initially going to skip these, and just get stockers, but I figured since my engine build has gotten to a downward spiral pretty quick, Why not? I am not doing the oversize ones (+.001), just the STD size for a street and hellraising somewhere else motor. Is there any negatives to running these? We are going for daily driven, 350 whp worthy at this point.

ACL Race bearings in every motor we do. Great bearing.

I put in generic ones... Silly, I know, but they have held up 5 years and 20k miles with plenty of runs up to 8krpm..

Get them along with all the arp hardware for a worry free setup. The price difference is menial in comparison to everything else going in there.

So all noobs that search for the best bearings. Buy ACL race bearings, or you fail. |
Rebello has had excellent results with the Calico coated ACL bearings. They said after teardown the coated bearings showed almost no wear when compared with the uncoated ACLs.
I'd go with the Calico's if i were doing a build. |
