Idle control.... anyone have a picture of vacuum routing on a 2000?
After a headgasket, and timing belt/water pump job on my 00' I am having a problem with a horribly hunting Idle.... I also have what sounds like a slight misfire...I have a suspicion that my vacuum hose routing at the IAC is incorrect...The car will idle at around 1500 rpm, and then start hunting badly when the fans come on. The car also oscillates from around 700rpm to almost 2000rpm until it warms up. I'm really starting to get angry with it!
I have checked for vacuum leaks, and not found any. The car is running Hydra (2.5 box) I have no control over my idle with the idle set screw on the throttle body either.
I have a tuning appointment tomorrow at 2pm, and I'm trying to make sure I have everything in order before then.
Does anyone have a good diagram or picture of the vacuum hose routing that they could post for me maybe? I want to check that before I go cancelling my appointment.
I am going to do some more research on the misfire, but I'm going to swap coilpacks first to see if that fixes the issue.
