It's ugly and I hate it when that happens, but it has no impact on performance. The important part is the screen with the little holes in the middle on the tip. The part that is dinted is a shroud around that inner screen, and the inner screen doesn't actually attach to it directly. If you were to pry that outer shroud completely off you'd see the screen attached to the inner section of the injector where the moving parts are.
That dinting occasionally happens when we remove the o-ring retainer piece in order to allow the bottom cushion to fit. Fixing the dint would risk actual damage, so we just leave it alone.
