i second high pressure intake test. you will hear a leak way before you seeit.

I can do this with a bike pump.

I'm not sure I should admit it, but I use Fae's method. Just attach air to the turbo inlet and give her hell. You'll hear air leaks. I think I test mine to 30 or 35 psi.

+1. You guys are making this emensely more complicated than it is. Hook to turbo, pressurize, find where air comes out.

Guys like this guy are making it much more complicated than it needs to be.

I'm 99% sure that you can't do a 'full-intake' boost test without unbolting the intake cam, since at least one cylinder is going to have the intake valves open regardless of where you have the crankshaft sitting.

Test IC pipes from the throttle body coupler to the compressor inlet. If you think you have an intake manifold leak, test it with ether, starting fluid, propane, or the smoke from a cigarette. All of that is way, way easier than opening the valve cover, unbolting a cam gear, and unbolting all the cam caps.

 :jerkit:

atleast on the bp i think its like 1 o'clock on the intake cam gets them all closed, ive been doing it that way for a while now.....
