BP Head Lifting

Video no worky but if we're siting sources here's mine. Something like a crow's foot extension that extends parallel to the wrench will change torque. A straight extension perpendicular will not. I think that's where the myth comes from.

I blew up a modded oem gasket and the cometic now. Our setups are similar is true but the motors are completely different in a few major ways.
Arp reccomends 65lbs so I’m not far off. If anything once you add the extension and an adapter 70lbs ends up being a bit less.
It cracks me up how the community is so stuck in a “it can’t be” attitude when it comes to stuff like this.

Depends on what the dynamic compression and timing is. I could easily believe a low-timing 9:1 setup at 24psi with a late IVC event could have a lot less peak pressure than a 13:1, high-timing, early IVC setup.

Along the lines of these questions, should we be going over 65lbs for the arps if we're pushing higher boost? Like 25-30psi range. Up to maybe 70-75?
I don't want to crack the head, but sounds like chance of lift increases with more pressure which is totally shocking and all! (Yay jokes!)
Thanks for sharing that torque wrench video up thread!

My 2c on extension bars.
Yeah they DEFINITELY lower the output torque of a concussion tool (ie a rattle gun) because the shaft twists and absorbs some of the whack, but on a torque based tool (ie a ratchet) they make no difference because the torque is constant.
You can test this by hand easily, infact, proving that an extension lowers a rattle guns effectiveness is easy, just get a bolt which wont come out with an extension on it then hit it with the gun sans extension and watch it come right out.
