Braided Fuel Lines
I have the M-Tuned dual feed rail and I had some spare -6AN line and assorted fittings, so after buying a barbed fitting I have everything needed to hook up the lines to the rubber fuel line coming from the hardline.
However, I started considering cutting off the flared end of the hardline (pressurize the system real quick to use some fuel to clean the line out of any metal particles created from cutting), install the 5/16" tube fitting I have and attach the tee to the hardline directly, no rubber hose anymore. I like the idea as it eliminates a potential failure point, but can't decide if it's overkill or not. What would you do? |
I'd get rid of all stainless steel hose. No, scratch that, I DID get rid of all stainless steel hose. It sucks to cut, route, secure, and clamp. Rubber high pressure fuel injection hose is all I'll ever, it came with the car for a reason.
