Burning oil, carbon, or pixies?

So the turbo car is up and running. It seems to burn something under heavy throttle. Like more than half. Haven't really gone full tilt since I'm testing out the components. It does just fine from what I can see in the mirrors under cruise and lift off. However, under anything over light exeleration sometimes I can see a thin cloud of smog in the rear view. If the car warms up and I give it just a good throttling it'll do it. It was losing oil before when the turbo was blown when I bought the car. It lost a lot of oil out the exhaust then. Just did a catch can and the valve cover did go to the intake before, last time I pulled the turbo it had a thin film on the inside of the cold side. I'm not getting any serious knock spikes on the Hydra during driving so I don't think it's ingesting oil and burning it. Due to the fact I have no friends here really I don't have any driving video or pics.:sadwavey:. I do have a couple shots of what the garage/driveway looks like from stat ups and reving a couple times.

I wiped some up with a paper towel and it doesn't smell like oil. More like if you wiped your finger on a normal running exhaust tip insides and smelled it. Just smells like carbon.

Could it be I'm paranoid and it's just burning all the carbon/oily build up in the exhaust from the turbo being toasted for so long? FYI no cat converter. Haven't done a compression test and no leak down tools. Just looking for ideas. Haven't driven it enough to tell if it's losing oil yet and I was an idiot earlier running it without an oil pump bolt.:loser:
