It is not the valve cover gasket.
I will try capping the intake manifold and see if that helps any.
The oil was burned on when i took mt old spark plugs out but since i put the new ones in it wasn't burnt on yet but it was definitely coated.
What symptoms or tests can i do to check my fuel pump?

its not going to be your fuel pump. my guess is its the pcv valve

If it is the pcv valve then will it fix the problems?
When i took off the hose it had oil in it and it had been sitting for over a day i will drive it tomorrow to see how it is.

BTW- The catch can solves the pcv valve question also.

I capped the intake mani. and left the pcv valve on but no luck it was idling at 400 rpm and barely running.
I am going to thoroughly check the wiring to see if it could be that but i doubt it because it has slowly been getting worse.

Consult the services of a qualified automotive technician.

Ok i just took off the v.c. and everything looks good, there are nuts that are holding the head on but they have a weird design. What size are they and what are they? The tops of the studs are allen heads can i just unscrew these like a bolt?

All this talk and no mention if you have even taken off th crossover tube to look into the intake for oil. The oil can be going into the intake then into the cylenders coating the plugs. This most likely is the case since all plugs are coated not just 1 or 2. Let us know this. Check the intake if it is coated with oil then make or get a catch can (one that you can see into) then seafoam the intake and clean the spark plugs and take it for a drive.

As far as the compression test is concerened did you put a little but of oil in the chamber then rerun the test to see if the pressures went up?

BTW the V/C could not be the problem since the V/C has nothing to do with the combustion chamer. The oil would be on the part where the plug wires would be.

I did take off the crossover tube and there was a little oil but it didn't seem like a big deal, i capped the intake and vented the pcv valve to atmosphere and it didn't change.
As far as the valve cover goes i took it off to check that everything was intact(it is) and then got sidetracked.
Where would i look on the intake to see that it is my pcv valve that is bad(where can i find the oil if there is any)?

You can remove the throttle body look inside.

Now I am going to have to agree with sixshooter and sugest that you take it to a mechanic.

Now having said that why dont you take the advice that has been given to you. Do it and then come back and tell us what is going on when you have more info.

Dude oil will not enter through the exhaust. Lets do the math. oil on spark plugs. ok. Thats +1, there is oil in the intake thats +1. If you do the math that equals 2 correct.Engines are not that hard. If you can't figure this out then you should not be working on your car. Sorry, but someone is going to have to tell you some time.

To clarify-your engine has 150psi compression on all cylinders. I wouldn't spend too much time and money on it since it's about done anyway. Min psi is 145. A strong, healthy engine is around 180-210.
