Car stalls after rev...
Hi guys,
I have a supercharged mp62 2000 miata with a greddy emanage and a wideband o2 sensor. I recently started to have a problem where, when the car is cold, for the first 10 minutes of running, the car will stall if I rev it for more than 3000rpm. In general, I can rev it after idling at 1K rpm and let off the gas and it will dip below 1K and sometimes stall or barely catch. I don't know if it is a coincidence, but this started happening after I cleaned the air filter. I have checked all the clamps and everything seems to be tight, so I am not sure why this would affect it. I just bought the car so I am new to the forced induction thing. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them. Also, is there a specific way you are supposed to adjust the idle other than just turning the screw? I am also throwing two codes, one is for unexpected idle rpm and the other is a lean condition in bank 1. Thanks! |
Cold Air
Supercharged Still got MAF? You sir, have the idle dip problem of all supercharger mods. Solution: Dual throttle body mod or Ditch the MAF |
Yup, still have the MAF...
Since I'm a noob, I haven't heard of the Dual throttle body. I guess I will look it up. Anyone have a quick link to info on that? Thanks BarbyCar.... |
