Car won't start after rebuild.
 

I have searched and searched and can't find an answer to my question.

I set my timing crank pulley with the notch upward.
I set the cam pullies with the marks upward and the other marks about 5'oclock - int and 7'oclock - exh.
I then install belt and have it all good then I notice the intake seems off 1 tooth. Is one tooth really enough for it NOT to start?

ALSO even IF the marks are lined up properly I will rotate the crank once and the cam pulleys are misaligned!
So how do I know when the TDC is the one I want since there seems to be two options.

I am at such a loss this sh*t is frustrating me now and I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

i had this simmilar issue where the timing belt would keep jumping teeth, we found a piece of plastic fell off the timing cover and worked its way between the crank cog and belt causeing the belt to slide over the plastic, so make sure nothing fell down and all the gears are clean

One tooth should not be enough to keep the car from starting. It won't make power, but should at least start.

The crankshaft turns twice for every single rotation of the cams.

On an NB it wouldn't surprise me if 1 tooth is enough to throw the cam/crank sensors out of whack.
