Default Compatibility

So I recently bought a 99 SE and I had rod knock, I have a guy selling Me a 04 vvt, will it fit nicely with the 99 trans??

It will bolt up to the trans fine. You won't be able to control the VVT head with a 99 ecu.

Its a daily engine, I have the original 1.8 with rod knock, that I intend to build, but thank you

OH wow. I don't think it matters what application the engine is. It will fit a miata transmission. You will have slightly different compression ratio with the BP6D bottom end so you may need a minor tune. Use your BP4W head. Good luck.
