Custom R35 COP Conversion NB2 Miata
 

Knocked this out with a buddy a few weeks ago. Wanted to run R35 coils on my vvt Miata but didn’t see any off the shelf kits.


Custom plate to bring the coils out of the valley, used spark plug boots from a pathfinder and created a harness that plugs into the stock coil connectors.

Plan will be to run sequential ignition with them, only had to tweak dwell and they run with no problems.

Nice work, looks really clean.

Are you driving the car around with the valve cover breather port blocked off? Seems like that would cause some issues.
