Seems like we're playing with E85's willingness to burn. There is some merit to the idea that leaning it out when cold could have a positive effect, but if it's not firing when it's rich, it's not using the extra oxygen % anyways. You're just not compressing the mixture enough to generate enough heat via. compression. The 110 octane fuel wont want to burn very easily. What compression are you running anyways?

It sounds like your fueling system is functioning properly since you have a good warm idle.
