DIY Coolant Reroute Spacer

I sketched this up last night and thought it might be of interest to anyone else contemplating machining their own coolant reroute spacer.

This looks great. Thinking of doing this to get my temps down.
Have you made (or had this part made) to verify its fitment? |
Props to you. Thanks for taking the time.

If the head is off the car, just tap it for water or the sensor. If not, buy the JR spacer, tap it for ports, and cut a groove for the thermostat.

Reviving this thread from a million years ago to ask why a threaded bung needs to be added for ECU temp sensor instead of just drilling a hole and tapping to 12x1.5mm?

If I had to guess the temperature sensor would crash into thermostat otherwise. You'd also need to put a flat on so the crush washer can do it's thing. Using a 1/8"NPT sensor would probably skip all that BS.
