Do I need a vented fuel cap If converting to return system on an nb?

I'm going to a return fuel system on my nb1 and I've seen some kits (specifically bofi racing) that come with a vented fuel cap. While searching for other conversion threads I see no mention of a vented fuel cap but is that just commen sense and me being me missed that? Also in regards to this photo taken from the bofi kit if you look at the end of the return line in the tank they have a fitting on the hardline for why I don't understand. Couldn't I just run a normal fuel line at the end of that hardline so it reaches the bottom of the tank? Last thing to add is that I do still have the charcoal canister behind the rear wheel and that vents to atmosphere just below my frame rail in front. If I remove this do I then need a vented fuel cap?

@DNMakinson can I delete that charcoal canister that sits under the car by the rear wheel? If yes do I need to do anything else with it being removed? I'd like to completely remove the 1/4 inch evap hardline as well if I can.

Hernj65. Go to my Build Thread and there is a section where I showed what I did, complete with schematic.

Only thing not mentioned... do not over-fill tank, or gas can drip out the existing vent. Some people add some length to the vent line and put a loop in it, but I'm not sure that is as important as just stop filling when the automatic dispenser first shuts off.

@DNMakinson thank you much and I did stumble upon your build thread this morning soon after you had replied to me. Cheers.
