Default Honda intake manifold

Will soon be on my car. I just bought this piece for $125 shipped. Hopefully this can cure some of my massive torque drop.

do the head flanges actually match up or will you cut off the Honda one and weld the runners to a Mazda flange. Ive never taken my intake mani off but I actually have one of those manifolds laying around...

the idea is that he'll cut off the honda flange and weld the runners onto a mazda flange. Just gotta cut the runners at the perfect spot where the port spacing will be close.

Now he'll be able to use a variety of good throttle bodies from 55mm-70mm, and shouldn't have to fool with the linkage and crap.

That IM is also know to provide good power between 4000RPM - 8000RPM, where we actually need it.

Another bonus is all the vacuum fittings and crap are already fitted.

Awesome...been thinking about this...didn't know there was a knockoff.

This will do the same thing right (although not such a steal):

Skunk2 Pro-S Intake Manifold 90-01 94 Integra LS/RS B18 : eBay Motors (item 200385552674 end time Feb-15-10 17:17:56 PST)

Mind if I get mine shipped to you and you get your guy to fab both of them? May be cheaper that way.

EDIT: Looks like the Blox knockoffs are $190 new.

Yea, you can get a brand new Blox for $190. I don't mind you shipping it to me but wouldn't you rather wait until we see if it actually works?

Should work good since you will be cutting away some of the runner to get the spacing where you need it for a 1.6 engine. On a 1.8 the spacing is almost 100%, then the issue is that the runners are soooo long that I don't think it will fit as it will hit the frame. (Just a guess)

I used to use a B18 Sheet Metal Intake Manifold on one of my old setups on my 1.8.

Marc, you really need to post a build thread about your old set-up, if you've already been there done that it would be nice to know how it went ect.

The plenum on those looks so small though. What is the volume? It doesn't look like it's meant for turboeing.

Do you recall which one you used? I'm searching the interwebs for them and a lot of those are very $$$$
