Dumb question on LC-1

Where is a good place to mount it? It says to "find a suitable location", but doesn't give any hints. And zip ties? That sounds kinda cheezy to me. Do you guys fab a bracket?

Suggestions? Is there a 'most people mount it here' place?

I usually see ppl zip tie them to their firewalls and whatnot, it doesnt weigh much and doesnt have any force pulling on it, so no reason to over engineer a mounting solution.

I dont mount mine at all, just let it lay on the floor because I dont leave it in the car, just hook it up when i need it.

Mine is under the center console in front of the cupholder. Drilled a hole in the tranny tunnel to run the sensor to the downpipe. Sealed the hole with silicone.

I should have done mine more like that. I might do it next time I recalibrate. Or just make sure its staying dry and out of the heat. Damn I should wrap it in something.

Right now the controller is mounted in the transmission tunnel on the wall zip tied to a wire coming from the trans. The wires go up through the shifter down the center to the passenger seat. Its powered by the megasquirt and I made a badass ground right there that actually works.

Mine is inside behind my driver seat. I mounted the sensor in the rear oem o2 location, no cat.

No turbo yet, so I have the sensor in the stock location in the downpipe and the controller is ziptied up on the driver's side fender, with the wiring running into the cockpit via the unused hole/grommet in the firewall that would be used by cruise control stuff if I had it.

When I install the turbo it will have to move. Then I will probably run the sensor through the shifter boot (assuming the cable is long enough) or drill a new hole in the vicinity of the shifter, and put the controller somewhere under/inside the center console.

mine's stuffed between the firewall and passenger seat. Wires come up through the shifter. I should find a cleaner solution but I really can't be bothered

Mine's underneath the plastic of the center console, by my right knee, against the transmission tunnel. There's actually quite a bit of room there on both sides (in my NBB). The cable to the sensor runs underneath the shifter boots. Sensor itself is in its own bung just before the flange underneath the shifter.
