DW300 Question

I plan on running e85 in my turbo build in a nb1(2000), i found a pretty good deal on a dw300 new, but it was bought for a '93 miata says DW300 141015, doing some searching i was not able to determine if it was interchangable.

What's the question?

oh boy

From my understanding it is a kit, would the 93 assembly "kit", be able to be used on a 2000?, my initial thought is no. I understand that the actual pump is universal.

Only other difference is the sock

My guess is the sock is necissary? any way to modify it to fit the 94-05 fuel tank?

concealer404 06-21-2018 05:10 PM

Yeah, put a 2000 sock on it.

Thanks, I think I should be good to buy it. Just saw they sell the kit individually.

The electrical connector is different, if I remember right aftermarket pumps are plug and play on the 1.6's, but not on NB's. Even if you get that install kit for the electrical connector, use the stock NB sock instead of the Douchewerks sock.

In the kit i linked, it appears there is some sort of electrical connector? Can anyone confirm that it will work with nb1 FP harness? Never had to dissasmble one yet :x:

I don't think that pump will play nice with a stock fuel pressure regulator.

Well the nb1 we had burnt down, my Na8 '94 will have a fuel system upgrade. I plan on running an aeromotive knockoff, but use quality fittings from Pegasus racing since they are down the road! @ SpartanSV thanks for pointing that out, saved me a headache.

burnt down?

oh I'm glad you're using quality fittings on your china knockoff junk pump, that makes everything better

DSource 07-16-2018 12:03 PM

From what i could tell, i wasn't in the vehicle. It was doing some pulls to get rid of the 87 in the tank to add 93, a little smoke puffed out of the hood then then when depressing the clutch it just dropped to the floor when pulling over, then a small fire broke out. Didn't have a fire extinguisher in the car, rookie mistake thus burned down. Bought the car for $500 with a Carbon Fiber hood, ISR catback, t25 china charger, ebay coils, the body was rotted. We parted out the car 2 weeks ago. Motor was still good.

Any recommendations where to get a relatively inexpensive FPR?

DSource 07-16-2018 12:09 PM

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...06dfb35631.jpgThe MS2 PNP is still good, first thing we pulled out. Bench tested it, after drying it out, all the magic smoke stayed in.

Of the few things to skimp on with a turbo build, fuel probably shouldn't be an area to cut corners. You're talking about sub $200 parts. If you want cheaper than that, just grab any returnless China FPR.

What's wrong with stock?

As far as i understand the stock FPR, even on my '94, Won't exactly work with the DW300?
